Privacy Policy
What XAgents collects through this website and the waitlist, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
XAgents is a software product built and operated by Vaiditya Tanwar, an individual based in India (“XAgents”, “we”, “us”). For the personal information described here, we decide how and why it is used. That makes us the data fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the controller under the GDPR and UK GDPR. You can reach us at vaiditya@xagents.in.
What this policy covers
This policy covers xagents.in, the waitlist, and the emails we send about the private beta. It does not cover the XAgents app itself, which will come with its own privacy information before you use it, or your accounts with model providers such as Anthropic. Their own policies apply to those accounts.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your email address (required) and, if you choose to share them, your name, your role, how many AI agents or sessions you run at once, the tools you use, and what you would use XAgents for.
- With your sign-up: a record that you agreed to the Terms and this policy (with the policy version), when you joined or last updated your details, and your browser’s user-agent string. To keep out automated sign-ups we also check how long the form took to complete and a short-lived form token, and our host limits how often one network can submit; we don’t store those checks. If you sign up again with the same email, we update your details.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this to build a profile of you.
We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
How we use it
- To run the waitlist and invite you to the private beta.
- To email you about XAgents: your invitation, important changes and occasional product updates. You can opt out of updates at any time.
- To understand who XAgents is for, such as which roles and tools are most common, so we can decide what to build and who to invite first.
- To show the total number of people on the waitlist on this site. The number never identifies anyone.
- To keep the waitlist free of spam and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Why we’re allowed to use it
- Consent. You agree to this policy when you join the waitlist. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we will stop using your details for the waitlist. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what we did before.
- Legitimate interests. Keeping the site and waitlist secure, preventing abuse and replying to messages you send us.
- Legal obligations. Keeping or disclosing information when the law requires it.
Under India’s DPDP Act, we rely on your consent, or on a legitimate use that the Act allows.
Where it’s stored and how it’s protected
Waitlist details are stored in Amazon DynamoDB in AWS’s US East (N. Virginia) region, us-east-1, in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred there. For transfers from the EU, EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards in AWS’s data processing terms, including the Standard Contractual Clauses.
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and only the founder has access to it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we will tell you and the relevant authorities about a breach where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until XAgents opens to the public or you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first, and for no longer than 24 months after you joined unless you have become a beta user. We keep emails for as long as we need to deal with your message, and for no longer than 24 months. AWS may keep short-lived technical logs to operate and secure the service. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or remove you from the waitlist;
- stop emailing you, by withdrawing your consent.
Email vaiditya@xagents.in from the address you signed up with. We will reply within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity first. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can get a summary of your personal data and how it is processed; correct, complete, update or erase it; withdraw consent as easily as you gave it; nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to; and have your grievances addressed. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
European Union, EEA and United Kingdom
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. You can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
California and other US states
You can ask to know, delete and correct your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use sensitive personal information. We honour these requests whether or not a particular state law applies to us.
Children
XAgents is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete their details.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as XAgents grows. We will change the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, email people on the waitlist before the changes take effect.
